Here at Golf de Roses, Windsurf beginners, intermediate levels, and more experienced riders can quickly progress. In July and August, some signs and buoys show where you can go windsurfing. There are special areas for wingfoiling, windsurfing, and kitesurfing, as well as a place for swimmers and people who want to relax on the beach.

When the wind is gentle in the morning, it's an excellent time for kids and beginners to try windsurfing. Our instructors are pros and will watch over kids who are 6 years old and up. We have easy-to-use equipment that will make learning fun. Plus, because of the way the wind blows, nobody will drift too far out to sea. And just in case, we always have a rescue boat ready.

Around midday, when the wind gets stronger, windsurfers and wingfoilers go to a different area than the kitesurfers. This makes everything even safer.

In Golf de Roses, Wing Foil improvers, and more experienced riders, can easily progress. For complete beginners, there can be wind chop in the afternoon that make learning more challenging. Once you are 'on-foil', this is a great place for progressing. 

During the warmer summer months, there's usually a consistent warm wind from the southeast in the Bay of Roses. The Tramontana, a wind from the north/northwest, mostly blows during colder months but can surprise us even in the middle of summer, sometimes reaching 25-30 knots. Near the watersports centre in Golf de Roses, the wind often blows parallel to the shore in summer, coming from the left if you're facing the sea. Mornings usually have a gentle wind, perfect for kids and beginners in Wing Foiling classes.

In the afternoon, this wind picks up, often reaching 20-25 knots, which is great for more experienced wingfoilers.

During July and August, another club, the PRO CENTER, is open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, specifically for windsurfing and wingfoiling. It's about a 5-minute walk from the main center, which focuses on kitesurfing, stand-up paddle, and windsurfing lessons for beginners in the mornings. There's also a surf shop there.

When the wind picks up around noon to 2 pm, windsurfers and wingfoilers have their area separate from the kitesurfers, making it safer. During peak season, all windsurfing and wingfoiling activities, including lessons and equipment rental, happen at the PRO CENTER.

If you're renting wingfoiling equipment, the local team will keep an eye on you to ensure your safety. They're always ready with a rescue boat during opening hours. If you're not renting equipment or don't have storage booked, don't worry, they'll still make sure you're safe, but there might be an extra charge for rescue.
