Fuerteventura is the second largest of the Canary Islands, although one of the least developed. The island has some stunning topography including vast sand dunes, huge golden beaches and breathtaking volcanic scenery in the interior. In the north is where you will find the main tourist resort of Corralejo, which has a lot of amenities in the way of restaurants, bars and shopping.&nbsp;

Corralejo is a great place for a family dive holiday, with various dive spots to entertain all levels of diving. The water in Corralejo is beautifully clear and will offer a different diving experience to other Mediterranean islands due to the slightly cooler water temperatures.

A kitesurf holiday to Corralejo in Fuerteventura is suitable for all levels and holiday types, including families, singles and couples, of all kitesurf abilities. Kitesurf beginners are taught by boat in flat water with plenty of space. For the improver or independent kitesurfer, there is a very long and stunning kitesurf beach, plus some small and easy waves if you want them. This really is a great kitesurf holiday location to satisfy a wide range of abilities.

Corralejo Kitesurf Holiday

The main windsurfing beach, and where we have our partner windsurf school in Corralejo, is called Flag Beach. This whole beach, and a large part of the surrounding area, is a nature reserve and is stunningly beautiful. In this location, the wind generally blows side to side on from the left. Generally, there are some small waves along this area, although there are also some great flat water sections. For beginner and early improvers, the windsurf lagoon is the best place. Our partner windsurf centre offer half-day trips to the lagoon. This is great fun and a good way to improve your level in a safe and social environment.&nbsp;

Diver certification begins here. Start with PADI's online eLearning course. Move to the pool and practice your new skills. Then experience four open water (ocean/lake) dives. During the PADI Open Water Diver course, you’ll learn what you need to know to explore the underwater world using scuba.&nbsp; The PADI Open Water Diver course includes three parts: Knowledge Development, Confined Water Dives, and Open Water Dives. Knowledge Development covers the principles, concepts and terms you need to know for dive safety and enjoyment. During the Confined Water Dives, you learn and practice scuba skills in a pool or water with pool-like conditions. You’ll enjoy making one or more minidives, which take you through the same steps you follow when you make open water dives. To complete training you practice, apply, and demonstrate what you learn during four Open Water Dives at a local dive site. Earning a PADI Open Water Diver certification shows that you met the course requirements. Dive centers and resorts require proof of certification before they will rent scuba equipment, fill scuba cylinders or book dive excursions. As a PADI Open Water Diver, you’ll be trained to a maximum depth of 18 metres/60 feet, and are qualified to dive in conditions as good as, or better than, those in which you trained. It’s just the beginning of a lifetime filled with dive adventures. In the PADI Open Water Diver course, you learn to use basic scuba gear, including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device, and a tank. The equipment you wear varies, depending upon whether you’re diving in tropical, temperate or cold water.

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver is designed to improve your underwater knowledge and skills. You can enroll immediately after earning your PADI Open Water Diver certification regardless of your skill level. The course helps you build confidence in navigation, fine-tune buoyancy skills, and introduces you to different diving activities such as wreck diving, night diving, or underwater imaging.&nbsp;After completing your eLearning, you’ll make five Adventure Dives: a deep dive (beyond 18m/60F), a navigation dive, and three additional Adventure Dives of your choice to earn your certification.&nbsp;

Group lessons are great value for money and lots of fun, but if you are looking for rapid progression, we recommend upgrading to private or semi-private lessons (see other courses, or please call us for advice).Group kitesurf lessons are normally upto a maximum of 4 students per instructor.&nbsp; The two students normally share a kite. Lessons are normally taken in 2 to 3 hour sessions, but depend on the local wind and sea conditions. Some centres will shorten the hours if they have less students as they will be able to cover the same course structure in a shorter time. Lessons are dependent on local conditions.

Flag Beach Watersports Centre.

Private 1-1 kitesurf instruction is the best and fastest way to learn to kitesurf, improve, or master a specific trick or move. Lessons are normally in 1-2 hour session, but you can discuss this with your personal instructor. This includes learning on your own equipment and no equipment is provided by the centre.

For anyone who has never tried windsurfing before, during this windsurf course, you will learn the very basics of Windsurfing. This includes how to lift the sail up from the water to your first rides in both directions. Groups are rarely more than 6 people. Your course includes board, sail, wetsuit, life jacket and insurance.Never been on a board but feels like the water and wind are calling your name? In the beginner course, you&nbsp;will learn the basics, such as how to stand up on the board, how to go upwind, and the basics and theory of jibing and tacking. You will understand the directions of the wind and gradually will gain confidence on the water! Introductory lessons typically take place either in the morning or in the afternoon, depending on the wind conditions.&nbsp;

Having a windsurf lesson as part of a group is great fun, sociable, and great value. Groups are rarely more than 6 people (normally 3 to 4) and include equipment rental during the lessons. The focus of these lessons are planning, beachstart and waterstart. For more advanced skills like jibes, freestyle and loops, we recommend private lessons.&nbsp;

Private windsurf lessons, with 1-1 instructor to student, ensure the fastest and best way to learn to windsurf, or improve. Your course includes board, sail, wetsuit, life jacket and insurance.

Daily rental of boards, rig and sails. Most centres will 'fix' your ideal board size to ensure availability, but you have access to all available equipment. It is important to pre-book your windsurf rental as part of your holiday to be sure of availability, especially over the high season periods. Rental can only be used on consecutive days. Please note that local prices can be significantly more expensive than pre-booked prices.&nbsp;
